The 1st Annual “Playground Legends” 2-on-2 Men’s Basketball Tourney

Welcome to the official on-line home of the “Playground Legends” 2-on-2 basketball tournament, which is to be held annually in Alliance, Nebraska. The first annual tourney is scheduled for July 29th & 30th, 2000. You can currently register right here on this webpage. Just use the form below!

WHAT: The 1st Annual "Playground Legends" Men's 2-on-2 Basketball Tourney.
WHEN: July 29th & 30th, 2000.
WHERE: All games will be played at yet-to-be-determined outdoor basketball courts in Allinace, Nebraska.
COST: $15 per team. NOTE: This is a non-profit event. All entry fees will be used only for tourney props and prizes. All money received will, in some way, go back into the tourney.
DIVISIONS: There are four divisions for different levels of skill. Recreational, Intermediate, Mad Skillz, and the Elite division, "Show Time." Please enter a division appropriate for your team. (All teams will be placed in the same bracket. However, you will be gauranteed to play a team of similar skill level in the at least the first two rounds. Prizes will be awarded to at least the top three teams in each division. So you'll actually be competing to win your divison while also having a chance to win the whole tournament. The first two rounds will be very competitive games featuring evenly matched teams. After that, the free-for-all begins. Should be fun
REGISTRATION: As of now, only one way to register. ON THIS WEBPAGE. You must register by July 10th, 2000. However, it is recommended that you register ASAP, since tourney field is limited to 32 teams, regardless of division.

Tourney Notes:

- All Games will be played to 15, by 1 and 2 point baskets.
- Tournament is double-elimination, meaning all teams will get at least two games.
- Final Four is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 30th, with the championship scheduled to by played at approximately 5 p.m.
- Good prizes will be awarded to at least 12 teams, with a minimum of 3 teams in each division winning prizes.
- All entry fee money will go towards tourney props and prizes. This is a non-profit event.
- NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to accomodate any hopeful teams after July 10th, or after 32 teams have registered. Be sure to register as early as possible. You don’t want to be left out!!!

After registering, you will get a confirmation e-mail within one week, veryifing your team's entry. You will be e-mailed info on how to complete your registration. You will be asked to send in your entry fee to the address given in the e-mail. You have until July 10th to send in your entry fee. NOTE: Entry fee is $15 per team.
